Morning all. Starting this thread as a place where those 'serious' stackers who like to watch and discuss the spot price overnight night can gather and share their joys and (probably more likely!) their tears. And remember, this this is for posterity, so please include the (USD) Spot price in your posts. Enjoy. SPOT: $36.43
g'night grinners. Hi Maggie. Tonight is end of week and end of month and end of quarter, so I'd expect one or two solid take down events during the night, probably with a few hours between them. One might be around 10am NY time and another one might be later on when the main markets have closed and volumes are light. I think we will start to see some positive movement by next Wednesday though. We might take out USD$38 and hold it. Here's hoping! Have a good night all. Spot: USD $ 37.59
positive payrolls and unemployment data. Good night to short gold and silver, let's see how low it goes......?
risky to short. Oil hasn't dropped. Saving down lately, inflation starting to rise. Might just get a bid and turn around.
went short 40 ounces at 1429, hate doing it, but money to be made... we'll see what the floor will be? probably should say if you can't beat them join them oh and also unemployment always seems to fall when many give up on trying to find a job! BLS love your work.
Meh a minor shakedown, gets rid of the weak paper hands. This is where holding physical shows its strength.
where do you guys watch the spot, kitco doesnt draw the graph live for me, I watch it at http://www.netdania.com/Products/li.../real-time-forex-charts/FinanceChart.aspx?m=c
Holding them at 37.25 (got down to 37.03 but didn't break through ) Might be a turning point if 'they' can't smack it below, with end of month/quarter pressures wheeeeeee Took 2 hours to knock 70 cents off...got 40 back in an hour
You can try this for GSR, kilo, gram prices, etc: http://www.24hgold.com/english/gold_silver_prices_charts.aspx?money=AUSD PS, watching that spot intently after buying a bunch of crowns today.
SPOT: USD $ 38.43 Evening night crew. We've had a bit of a rise this evening. I'm expecting a flat Monday night (hovering around the current price), with a steady decline going into tomorrow. Any up spike tonight will no doubt be greeted by 'the price exterminator'. (I'm sure you've met him!) If we do suffer a take down tonight (in the next few hours) don't worry, it won't do much damage. Just wait until Wednesday night - we might see the exterminator running to moma with a black eye - or two!
