Anyone having trouble logging in with Chrome?
Everything was fine, having no trouble until yesterday morning, sat 15th.
Now I can't login using Chrome (had to resort to Internet Explorer :( )

When I try to login with Chrome I get this covering the login button
    [IMG]

I click OK and it reveals this
    [IMG]

I try to login as normal and get this
    [IMG]

from there I click OK after the timer has run out
a login window appears, I try, and it takes me back to the timer countdown thing again
    Rinse & repeat

I have changed nothing in chrome settings and only started happening yesterday afternoon

So I am pulling my hair out, and had to resort to using Internet explorer ...just for this site
Using it I have no trouble at all, but it's internet explorer lol

So was just wondering if anyone was having the same trouble logging in with chrome & what you did to fix it

    Thanks
    .

I've had a lot of problems with Chrome locking up my PC, and I've been using Firefox lately.

Thanks for that, just download it and tried and had success logging in. Firefox wins the prize. :)

Will not be in front of a computer running Chrome until Tuesday so unfortunately I cannot compare if I am getting this issue.

Maybe try deleting your cookies in Chrome?

    Yep..cookies, cache ...all the tricks.
Chrome was working fine on here, and then all of a sudden I was getting the crap in the screenshots above. So something changed on the site.
I.E. and Firefox it doesn't happen. So I dunno...but at least I can get on I guess.
Would be interested though if anyone using chrome is having the same issue, because no one using chrome has responded. Either they can't login either or...
When you do try on tuesday with chrome, be interesting to see what happens.
    Thanks for the response :)

I've happily been using Firefox ever since it first came out. I've briefly tried Chrome and a couple of other browsers and always find myself quickly going back to Firefox.

I dunno but that seems a bis suss. The Engrish of that red message is not exactly grammatical, which is usually a red flag... My experience with Chrome and the new site was that it initially didn't keep me logged in, esp. across different devices, but now it does and all's well.

Been using Chrome and Chrome only, and don't have any issues at all

The very first time I came here I had that cookies bar, hit OK and everything works fine

Not sure what's happening with you now but just wanted to mention that Chrome works fine for me

Have you tried using Chrome on another device? If it works, then it might be related to your pc?

That's an EU Cookie plugin - yes, the author is from the EU and English is not his first language. I use Chrome almost exclusively - are you running it in an incognito tab perhaps? I haven't tried the forum out in incognito.

Like the last forum, cookies are required for basic functionality like staying logged in.

No not running in incognito, it was fine up until the afternoon of the 15th, had no trouble staying logged in. I went off for a couple of hours and when I opened the site and tried to login was when a ran into trouble. (as per screenshots above)
In that time I had changed nothing in chrome, it just started happening. Closed out after several tries of trying to get past the red writing screenshot, and tried all the fixes, cleared cookies, cache, browsing history etc, restarted. Then tried again and the same thing. Sent a message using the 'contact us' in the bottom right hand corner and didn't hear anything, so in desperation lol I dragged out Internet explorer & was able to login no problem. Posted this thread, installed firefox, as suggested above, and got in straight away. Have been using that since installed and have had no furthur problems.
I exclusively use Chrome as well as it is a bit faster, but as of 2 days ago this is the only site I visit where I have to use firefox. It's got me stumped.
If I can find a fix, that would be great, but I didn't change anything as I said, so it's a bit hard to no where to look. I will keep trying chrome periodically, but for now Firefox seems to be doing the job. At least I can get in.

Well the same thing just started happening on Firefox, same thing as described in the Opening post, exactly the same. (as screenshots)
Firefox was great for 3 days then this morning couldn't get in.
It was a new install of Firefox, I only use it to visit this site & use Chrome for everything else. So no I didn't pick up some strange cookie from another site.
I'm now using IE to access the site, if the same thing happens with that, I won't be able to get on at all.
So if I disappear, that's it I wont be able to get on.
I'm just really glad I'm not in the middle of a trade.

    Problem Fixed :D
I was something so simple I have been face palming ever since.
It was just a matter of deleting my present bookmark, & then changing the URL from http to https o_O
Yep that's it. So I'm back in on chrome.

The answer to my problem came from a post made in another thread, when I read it, I had the 'lightbulb moment'
