Just got my purchase of these "Asahi" rounds and they are really a work of art. If you like dragons or are into Asian themed PM, these are a must have. The mint and designer put a lot of work into these as they very detailed and crisply minted. They are also available on the website with or without gift boxes. Without gift boxes, they are slightly cheaper. Spoke a little (through email) with the seller and he was very friendly and answered all my questions. Overall I am very happy with this purchase and will likely purchase more in the future as gifts if they are still making them.
I just got a few of these rounds yesterday. Absolutely beautiful. The quality of the strike is incredible and the design is stunning. These are keepers.
At the top of the medallion is the makers mark "SatosanMetals" The reverse is the rising morning sun "asahi" and is marked "one troy ounce 999/1000 silver". http://www.ebay.ca/itm/SatosanMetal...th-gift-box-/181765104408?hash=item2a520b6318
weird writing of word "metals" in katakana ... I believe more appropriate would be , but anyway where are they from? no info on their web site
These are very nice in the hand , but DAMN the fit of the capsule into the gift box is TIGHT ( Even tighter than some US Mint commemorative OGP's ) VERY nice strike's indeed.
Undated 2015 issue with gift box. In 2015 SatosanMetals introduced a line of minted 1oz. silver products. The first issue was this BU struck silver round called "asahi". The premier 2015 issue is dateless and the final mintage was 300 pieces. Each silver round is accompanied by a numbered COA.
If that's the case then they mustn't have many left. I order a few that arrived last week with the last number being 198, so probably under 100 of these left now...

I just found these yesterday after seeing the link in another old thread I was looking through, absolutely beautiful designs. The new round is stunning, the artist captured a gorgeous pose, hopefully next year she's facing the other way I also like the little 5g silver cob. Got my order in.
