Really nice coins, with the silver version being 2oz in weight and it's the first of ten coins in a series. Designed by Jody Clark who did the 2014 proof Britannia http://agaunews.com/royal-mint-surprises-queens-beasts-new-gold-silver-bullion-coin-series/ Source: AgAuNEWS.com
They are beautiful. I enquired with the US based distributor that I won't promote and they said that to do business with overseas they would require circa $170,000 for a transaction. That is ridiculous and I suggested they should get more realistic. They aren't in my recommended list of distributors.
I'm sure an Australian distributor will stock the silver ones once they catch on. When you buy direct from The Royal Mint and import to Australia the checkout deducts the 20% VAT once you add your shipping details. They despatch quickly but shipping takes a while from the U.K. - about 3 weeks last time I used them.
I don't think they are available for purchase yet On the bullion site: royalmintbullion.com/Products/Queens-Beasts/Silver Griffin, falcon, bull, yale, greyhound, dragon, unicorn and horse -presumably to follow...

I don't really care about the mintage and investment potential. I just love the design. I hope that Perth bullion also carry the 1/4 oz gold and the silver when it comes.
