After calling the $22 Bottom last month, I predict nothing much. Steady at around $20, then jumping up after the new year back up to $22 during January. $25 by Easter. Bear in mind that I'm a Western theologian and an Eastern Christian, whichever suits.

Are you talking AUD? It certainly makes it harder than just predicting a U.S. price. Now you've introduced predicting how the AUD will perform against the USD which may exacerbate or nullify any silver price movements.

Yes, AUD. Part of my reasoning includes a drop in the Aussie.

I agree. I'm far more certain of a drop in AUD over the next two years than what silver's going to do. :S

    Drop in the Aussie.

    Drop in oil prices.

Hot stockmarket which could correct and drag stocks down, including metal (Margin calls looming for many, I'd say)

If you already have a bit of silver you could wait for lower but the AUD may gobble-up any USD spot drops.

Personally, I think iit's a good time be in cash.

Some folk just buy bullion bars and 50's :) But diversification into coins could be a good idea.

And...there will always be bargains, regardless of the price direction.

My rec is to hold more cash, wait for oversold metal and start getting your head around oil stocks that are good value after a crash.

Having said that, if you are old...75 plus, have a really good piss-up this Christmas. :)

    Supply down, silver up.
    Solar up, silver up.
    US interest up, Aussie down.
    Aussie down, silver up.

Not earth shattering moves, but enough to take it to $25 by Easter. Maybe $30 by Christmas.

I dont actually follow him just that I disagree with everything he posts as he is a crack addict. Fool please $30 by xmas it is highly unlikely. But as the saying goes even a broken clock (or crack addict) is correct 2 x times a day.

For me silver has got to be oversold at this level. As mentioned, several fundamentals are suggesting a break of the downtrend is due and on the technicals the chart also looks to be making a broad base to suggest the bottom is in.

Once the bear market breaks then anything is possible so if you've got the stones to be a contrarian too then you have the trifecta now so punt on some silver with confidence there can't be much downside left :)

Looking at the long term tend back to about 2000, we had silver bumping up in a stable uptrend until 2007/8, then in 2011 when prices went mental.

We went up, we came back down and that same 2000-2008 uptrend line will come into play if we get down to say $13.50 or so. You will note that the two December 'bottoms' were heavily bought - even if only short covering. It suggests there is significant price support at that level and the shorters know it, so covered there without forcing it lower and risking missing the best cover trade they could get. It also suggests that overall demand is certainly not soaking up supply yet and we may have to go lower once more.

I wouldn't be surprised if we see a few more miners announcing Silver shutdowns - in fact that may be exactly what the market needs. It doesn't matter if they actually close or not, just an announcement that they will close in the next few months if prices do not get back up to $16-$17/oz might just do the trick. Important to note that SLV did not retest their lows in December with spot price and neither did the GDX index, so I have a feeling it won't get much lower than that, if it even gets down to that point. Like Bugged out, I don't think the market can support any appreciable falls - so nothing like 10%. That said, a 5% drop with a retest of the lows may be possible.

The market will be thinly traded until after New Years, we might see some smaller smack attacks but I doubt it until the COMEX opens on the 4th and all the real traders get back from Holidays.

You are a rude and spineless person.

You have no balls! Your continual insults and personal attacks show what you are.

You would never speak to a man face to face like that. :(
