Is this a scarce Engelhard? added new photo

    I have not seen this bar before.Im guessing some kind of anniversary edition by Engelhard.Bull logo can also be seen on the bar.

    edit:eek:n the first pic:AD 50years 1935-85.I assume the bar was made around 1985.

    Now if you can find out who/what that "AD" is all about
    That is 1 rare ingot & should fetch a hefty premium :cool:

    I did not find any info on it.I thought AD could be Australian Division but Aus engelhard started back in the 1980's and not in 1935

    If it would have been a gift or anything I would know about it . I would not think that engelhard would produce a private one off item unless it is for someone who worked there.

    I'm thinking it would have been a company celebrating it's 50th in 1985
    So you do know some back story to where you got the bar from ?

    Now that is a seriously rare bar!

    I have seen a simiilar bar for JM that was produced to commemorate one of their mines in Canada, so you could start looking from that angle.

    I tried but cannot find any info regarding engelhard in 1935.I pretty much think it has to be for someone in high position at the company appreciating his/her hard work.

    Nice Blob! Hmmm, possibly "A.D. (Anno Domini) 1935-1985" for wathever anniversary.
