Hi I hope someone can help. I know that Australian pre decimal had a kind or short hand for it. I think a threepence was 3d? Can anyone help with a list or a link of the abbreviations. Thank you in advance.
3d = threepence = tray 6d = sixpence = zac 1s = shilling = one bob 2s = florin = two bob 5s = crown = five bob

In the UK 1/4d = a farthing 1/2d = haypney (pronounced as written) 1d = a copper 3d = a joey or thrupney bit 6d = a tanner 1s = a bob 2s = two bob 1/2 crown 2an6 crown five bob 9 bob note lol " bent as a nine bob note" 10 bob note = ten bob 1pound note = a quid more than 1 quid = knicker ie 6 quid is 6 knicker
