Just wanted to share: I got these on Monday at a local coin trader, and the bar for very near spot price (37 swiss francs per gram, so only around 1.5% commission ). What's more, the price was low on Monday and has gone back up a bit since then, so I figure I made a good little purchase. The only sad thing was I didn't have more cash to invest
Hoi Anthony, Nice Goldvreneli and bar! One of my latest buys also was a 20er Vreneli. I am not stacking gold but Goldvrenelis are just beautyful. In my hometown Solothurn there is just one Coin/PM dealer (Mnzen Eppler). So from time to time I go shopping at Johann Mllers in Bern, who has a broad variery of numismatic stuff and Bullion. Geiger in Niederglatt or St. Margrethen is also good for Bullion. Let me know if you have any suggestions! Regards Danny
Glad to have you both onboard. Ant has given me some nice recommendations for bullion dealers in Switzerland. Will try to visit them when I go there next week!
Hoi Danny, Yes, in my town (Lucerne) there is also only one coin/PM dealer (Hirsiger Numismatik). But I've also been to Johann Mller in Bern, and have also ordered coins and bars from Geiger. Sometimes I also order things from pro aurum (I think they are in Niederglatt), but they're not so cheap. The best is still direct picking up instead of ordering. And yes I also love Vrenelis, they are beautiful . Regards Antony
Wow, I'm jealous. Here in Melbourne, Australia I've never seen any fractional gold coins sold commercially for less than 10% premium over gold price. I like the "Helevetia"/Vrenelis coins too; I occasionally find a 1935 restrike floating around.
Yea well, even here the premium is normally at least 9%. I was just lucky I found a seller who isn't really into making profits on gold bars since he mainly sells numismatic coins. But he doesn't have gold bars larger than 10g.
