It looks like the Hammerhead shark will be the next in the shark series...
Great Hammerhead Shark - Silver Bullion Coin The design on the Great Hammerhead Shark (1/2oz) silver bullion coin, consists of a circle that in part surrounds a representation of a hammerhead shark and a background representing sun rays filtering through water. The coin includes the following inscriptions 'GREAT HAMMERHEAD SHARK', '2015 1/2oz 999 SILVER', and the initials of the designer Natasha Muhl 'NM'. http://www.comlaw.gov.au/Details/F2015L00158/Explanatory Statement/Text http://www.nmfs.noaa.gov/mediacente...mmerhead_esa_proposal_for_public_comment.html

Herp Derp Shark. I was going to pass on the series as the first one was a bit meh! Didn't even bother to read this thread until I had looked at all the others Then the first line said it was going to be the Hammerhead and I changed my mind, hammerheads look awesome in every picture of them that I have ever seen...with the exception of one now. Edit to add: Just looked at it again, will definitely be getting one.
I bought one, I want to keep up with the series. Nothing really special...still better than the spider!
Is Goldstackers going to be stocking this? They had last years sharks but haven't seen the hammerhead on the website.
Im already to buy some, got my capsules ready for them hehe. Hope Goldstackers do stock so i can buy some funnel web spider coins and the hammerhead shark coins Cheers, HAPPY STACKING
If Goldstackers do get them in I will probably chuck a tube in with my other purchases but I wouldn't hunt one down too hard. Not sure if I want to put together an ongoing set, I guess getting in at the beginning, at release prices isn't a bad idea, wouldn't have minded that for the Kookaburras or Lunars. However not knowing how many coins in the set means I am not sure that I want to make any sort of long term commitment that I am going to feel obligated to in the the future when they start increasing the prices. They are a small size, which gets some decent premiums in the other series but then the other series come in all the different sizes, so the 1/2 oz is a bit of a novelty. According to the internet there are 440+ different sharks, with 180 in Australia, so the series could go on for a bit, even if they cut the rubbish ones out, however having seen the RAM's Kangaroo series, I am pretty sure that every obscure shark around will end up on a coin if it can keep a popular series going. There are still some pretty cool sharks to stick on a coin though, and if they are keeping it to an Australian theme it might make a good display at the end of the series.
