Recently in one of the threads in the SS forum, someone shared a link to an interesting novelty silver product produced by the Northwest Territorial Mint (NWTM) in the USA, a pair of solid 1oz .999 Fine Silver Dice: https://store.nwtmint.com/product_details/7232/1_Pair_Silver_Bullion_Dice_1_Oz_Ea./

I also checked for these same dice on eBay. What I found is that buyers on eBay in recent days seem to be willing to pay considerably more for this product than they would were they to purchased directly from the NWTM. Are people just too lazy to even do a 30 second search engine search to find the NWTM page for that product?

Hey look, good for the eBay seller and all....but am I missing something obvious?

NWTM don't ship internationally so that's probably why.

I think you nailed it House.
I want some of these but if they do not ship international i am shit outa luck.
There is no way i am going to pay $80-$90 for these ,as i see this is what the SOLD listings on ebay show.
If anyone here does get onto some at a better price i would be keen to buy a set.
Not so keen on the balls someone else posted though.
But damn we would be playing a lot more games of federal reserve (monopoly) if we had these dice.

A while back (2003) I was looking for a book, "Touching North" by Andy Goldsworthy, limited to 500 copies.

They were on eBay for 80 but after about half an hour of searching online I found an art gallery up in Scotland which had five of them sitting on the shelf at the issue price of 35. As I was buying three of them the shop assistant told me that they were selling for twice as much on eBay. Which makes me wonder why they gallery didn't just put them up on eBay themselves...

They are now selling for anything between $45 and $600 (i.e. tatty to dreaming) on Amazon.

Usually if you are buying half a dozen items from the same place you do get to save money on the postage so sometimes it is worth it but often people seem to prefer the convenience of shopping with eBay, they are familiar with the company, they aren't giving their credit card details to a complete stranger over the phone, they can see feedback on the seller etc.

Do it, plenty of people take advantage of these situations to make a bit of extra cash.

There's a few US members on here that might help you out if you ask nicely ;)

Would also have like a couple of sets and could also have ordered for others as have a brother living in the US.....and then I googled the company and their customer feedback for delivery of purchases is really bad.

I have ordered from NWTMint before and while the products they produce are good quality and they fulfill orders accurately, they are not quick to ship the order out....at least that's been my experience.

Thanks - not sure how long ago you ordered as some reviewers had been purchasing for many years or what you consider as "not quick to ship out" but from the reviews on a few sites many people have been waiting 6 to 8 months......!!! and still getting the run around. Big Ponzi scheme or more likely they are in serious financial strife.

Thanks I intended to link the most recent. Had gone back to 2012 to try and work out when the supply issues/complaints had ramped up :)

I just bought a set in the SS trade section cost me $80AU but i wanted them! Price conversion and international shipping cost made the premium i paid over MWM online price reasonable plus I got them in 3 days. They are really quite nice and am happy i bought them

Perth Bullion has sets of dice that weigh 3 oz but they are pricey!
