Sorry to say but i didn't get your point.

If you can tell in brief it will be good for me to understand.

What is the rare variety ?

    Usually where you spend ?

RING? What ring?...I see only coins in the pics..

Could you please explain your post ?

And ,perhaps the answer to the low nine is "someone filed it down"

    maybe?

the ring is a coin roller mark :(
it really reduces the value of the coin however that doesn't matter as this is the 1st one I have found so it is a keeper
a hard coin to find in circulation given the age and publicity it has received in the past
8balls - the reason the coin is rare and valuable even in this condition is the wavy line on the base of the 2. unique to 1966 20 cents and only a small amount of them. it is one of 3 Australian decimal circulation high value rarities that's you can find in your change and it is nothing short of a miracle that I found 2 in one night from $600 change!!

The specific variation on the 20 cents is the wavy base line on the 2..has been described here on SS , very recently and in Australian Coins and Banknotes.
A dremel with a grinding tip would not show file marks...many ways to doctor coins :)
Did you find it in your change?

I would put your error down to an oil filled die (Google it for examples) not as uncommon as you would think but still an error coin. Problem is there is a limited market for them on eBay and in the condition yours is in you would be lucky to get a few bucks for it. Me I put mine in zip lock bags and store them in case they ever become popular but I am more hoarder than collector

On the weekend I was showing my wife pics of sovereigns, letting her know how much I would like to get some. Today she brings me home this. She works in a bank, and was going to get rid of all the loose foreign coins, just throw them out, when it caught her eye. I couldn't be happier. Unfortunately all the other coins went in the bin. She now knows not to do that again.

    Edit: Great catch either way!
