All, We've lost one of our own I have the most unfortunate duty to advise that Cheryl, better known to many of you on this board as Maggie, has passed away this morning, as the result of a stroke suffered on Friday. I've just spoken with Russ, her husband, who has asked me to pass this message along to the board and the many, many people who have dealt or interacted with Maggie over the years since she joined our community. She was together with Russ as she passed. I have no other words to express the shock of this news other than to pass on our collective condolences to the family. At this time I have no other details to share. Right now Russ is focused on his family, and he has expressed his gratitude in advance for any respects paid by our community - and for some time to deal with this tragic event. Sincerely, Ben & family
What an unfortunate loss of such a lovely person RIP dearest Maggie. Condolences to Russ and their family
Thankyou all for your kind words and condolensces to my family about my Nanna Maggie. Its hard to believe she is really gone and that i wont get to see her again. Wont get to see her smile or hear her laugh. But we all must push through and live with the good memories bright in our hearts and minds. She will not be forgotten xx
I'm sad to hear that such a sweetheart has passed. She always took the time to be pleasant and cheerful in our conversations. I believe we've all suffered a loss, but not nearly as deep as her family.
Mike hit the nail on the head, exactly my sentiments. I will keep her family in my prayers. A sad loss, of someone I considered a friend and really wanted to meet when I made it down to Australia.
All the best to you and all those close to her. Make sure you come back here sometime and read the tributes from people around the world to your Nanna. Most of us here at Silver Stackers never got to see her smile or hear her laugh, but she certainly made us do both through her wonderful words and friendly and caring ways when dealing with us.
WoW, I cannot believe this, so sad. She has been a big part of this forum and has definitely left her mark on many of us.
^^^This^^^^ She was awesome to message with and although I never met her, I felt she was a good friend. Please remember that all those that touch our lives in meaningful ways are gifts to be cherished. So cherish all those laughs, smiles and memories as the gifts they were intended to be.
I was just looking back through PM's Maggie and I had swapped, Maggie was so very helpful and always went the extra yard to make things right, just wished I had have said G'day lately to a person who called me a friend, so guess what I am saying is sometimes we get so caught up in life that sometimes just saying Hi is worth more than we might realise ! I am sad today!! Thanks Maggie for being you!!
