Someone moved $147m USD today in a single btc transfer. http://www.coindesk.com/194993-btc-transaction-147m-mystery-and-speculation/
What I find incredible is that they paid zero fees. You see it a lot with the bigger transactions. Why on earth...?
So all you have to do to generate huge buzz in the MSM is move your BTC from one of your wallets to another? Wonder how many new people will jump in and push the price up as a result of hearing about this? Easy way to turn $150 million into $200 million...
That's what I figured it was - more of a pump showoff than a legitimate "I need to move $147m from this paper wallet to that one". It really was tagged "Shit Load of Money!".
Does anyone remember http://1dkybekt5s2gdtv7aqw6rqepavnsryhoym.com/ ? It doesn't seem to load now and all the funds were emptied last year. It basically featured this image and half a million btc at it's height. I think it belonged to pirateat40, a scammer. https://blockchain.info/address/1DkyBEKt5S2GDtv7aQw6rQepAvnsRyHoYM
20,000 BTCs for Keiser. Damn, I wish I had bought BTCs in 2011 instead of gold and silver... Right now I could be trading some of that stuff for massive piles of gold and silver.
Probably just did what I did and just sent it to himself after generating a way cooler looking Bitcoin address.
This article suggests it was Bitstamp moving their BTC around: http://www.washingtonpost.com/blogs...d-that-massive-150000000-bitcoin-transaction/
Hmmm... what if someone exchanges that many Bitcoins for USD? That would bring the market down! All we need is just one rich guy making a sell-off next week and a domino-like sell-off will get triggered :/
