well just ordered my first 250 gram bar yesterday so looking forward to it arriving, i have been reading many threads saying its a good time to be buying at the moment but i am only buying around 50-100 pounds a month worth so hope stays low for a while so i can stack up, just wondering what the most anyone has payed for a ounce ? also what exactly does it mean when people talk about "if the price breaks 20$" do it mean if it goes lower or higher ?

also anyone from the uk doing any group buys at the minute ?
Thanks for everyones help so far
    Dean

Depends which side of $20 price is at the time. It can mean breaking higher or lower.

Think you might be in for a surprise !
An ounce of silver for 19 only ?
    Surely you mean 19 plus 20% VAT = 22.80 plus shipping ?

I know I'm a bit new to this all and have only posted a few times.

But I'm up for this stacking lark if anyone from the UK is doing it (PM me) as i would like some nice 1oz bars from the mint it's self or just that little bit cheaper from anywhere. I hate the fact that we have to pay 20% Vat when the Germans have there 7%!! Might be an idea to create a post for us to add our names to the list or something? That's if it ain't been done already? Please post it here.

No wounder they have more wealth than us when it comes to precious metals, think were about 14th on that list....... Stupid fiat! Has anyone thought about going to the treasury and asking for your fiat currency worth in gold it promises? Like a mass request....? Feel like doing something like Micheal Moores documentary's it goes a little somthing like this

    Erm excuse me?

    Yes sir?
Can i have my gold please?
What do you mean your gold?
ou know, i give the bearer of this note the value of gold as promised?
Um funny thing about that sir...
    Go on.......
We've fibbed about our reserves we don't appear to have as much as we thought,

    :D
    Rant over

Don't forget that the UK government actually doesn't have any money - it's our money i.e UK taxpayers money. Having cold sweats now when I think of our former Labour prime minister Gordon Brown, when chancellor, selling a shed load of OUR gold when it hit bottom. Reckon he had read the chapter in the Bible where someone gives away all his possessions to make him feel better. Trouble is it wasn't Gordon's to give away so maybe he has inadvertently bought a ticket to the land of fire and brimstone ?

The most I have payed for 1oz is $1400, it was for a rare Evansville Liberty Dollar. Was alot of money but I am so glad I spent the money as I enjoy having one in my stack and that is the main thing about stacking I believe. At the end of the day if you get enjoyment out of it, who cares what you pay for it.
