    Howdy,

In the recent past, it used to be that a bad day on the stock market would mean a positive outcome in precious metals, as they're considered a safe haven.

This last week I've noticed that a precious metals seem to have been pinned to the stock market.

    Can anyone give some insight?

Oh well that explains it... Thank you for the insightful detail.

My question is why is it that last year, the stock market tanked and silver and gold shot up significantly, but at the moment, the precious metals seem to be inherently linked to stock market movements.

Why were they see-sawing, and now they're following each other?
