Chilli, any word from the Polish Ebayer on price? Must have been more expensive than the Italians?

No, at least not all of it. Inner Mongolia is part of China I think while outer Mongolia (as the Chinese describe it) is a separate Country.

that's my understanding of it anyway.

Folks... I wouldn't worry. I have 3 mongolian wolverines and 1 owl. I didn't buy the hedgehog from powercoin either, Because i'm waiting for the coin to come to the united states. I believe the coin will be cheaper when it comes out soon. In my opinion, I think the hedgehog when it first is seen in the usa will be around 150 to 200 dollars. I'm waiting because there is some time. Those who didnt pick it up as of yet ( like myself ) don't be discouraged. We will have OUR chance.. The Moose from the canadian wildlife series sold out pretty quickly from mintproducts. I picked up 2 of those babies to continue my series for the 6 coin set. Looking forward for the hedgehog(s)... good luck..

I got the Mongolian Hedgehog Pre-Order band wagon yesterday.

I paid $283.96 via Paypal to order the coin from Italy.

Not available to ship until March 31, 2012.

OH, and let me take the opportunity to give a big old negative plug review to New York Mint.
    Why?
I ordered and paid for the Mongolian Owl from them last year (on-line) for about $109 - 129.
    They sent me confirmation emails.
Then, over a week LATER..I got a snail mail through the US post office from New York Mint, saying they were backing OUT OF THE SALE. SOLD OUT.
Of course, that week, the price on the owl started to soar.
It took them a WEEK to realize that they were sold out???

I will NEVER FORGET IT...LOL and, I will tell that story on every blog until the day I die. LOLOLOL

Anyway, I might have overpaid for the HEDGEHOG...but, I love the coin and think it might gather an award for 2012 and price might soar.

    Nah.

It makes sense the Owl won the award. It is a stunning coin. the rest of the series is merely copying the similar style, but they pale in comparison to the original coin.
