    Just come across 4 notes.
    Are they still legal tender?
Are they worth anything to a collector?
    Cheers

if not badly ripped, then Any bank has to exchange your old paper monies..they’re legal tender…unless they are in MINT condition, the you might get @$55ea…depending on serials

I don't believe Australia has ever expired any old notes. Even the old pound notes are probably still good, but they would certainly cause some confusion at the bank. :)

    Not quite correct GoldnenEye.

Take in any of the pre-1933 Australian banknotes that state this note is redeemable for gold and see how you go;)

Old notes are fine to exchange at any of the major 4 Banks (CBA, Westpac, ANZ, NAB) if they are damaged, incomplete or pre-decimal notes then the major 4 still take them but you have to wait 4-6 weeks whilst they get processed at the RBA. I took some old paper $20 notes into CBA that where sticky taped back together from shredded pieces, they exchanged the complete ones on the spot the others they sent to the RBA and some where paid out at $10 others $20. There is a conversion chart for the pre-decimal on the RBA website but it's still the same as 1966 so it's better off to sell those to collectors regardless the condition.
