Ashamed? I'm not ashamed of where I live. I'm actually quite proud to live on the NSW far north coast - it is paradise. It was my goal, and I achieved it. I love where I live.... it is more important than money, remember? Anywhere but Sicktoria. (or fkn commie QLD too)
Well a lot has changed in Nimbin over the years, Pink Pig doesn’t live in the bar anymore, the Hemp Museum has closed and fresh local produce on side of road has for the most part fallen from favour. On the upside, pancake house is going well! Oh and then the retro gallery is doing just fine thanks ..... OFFS
Noticed that Byron is attracting more Melbourians than Sydneysiders. Odd cause I'm sure property there is out of reach for most Melbournians. Back on topic, what's the story with people in forums here trying to flog 2020 coins at higher than dealers. Also noticing that $200 coins are being dumped left right and center. Weak hands?
Byron is out of reach for most of Oz - it's the Hemsworth/Damon/COVID tax. Byron now the most expensive per/square meter real estate in the country. (that upsets Sydney-siders to no-fkn-end... including my mum... because Sydney-siders are mentally retarded about RE prices, and consider no other measure of success imaginable).
@wrcmad I’m not grey on it mate just know what it was like kicking around stoney chute 20 years ago, no rubbish left behind, no toffs no Hipster Wannabees. Same as Mullumbimby, Mooball and Thora, all the secrets are out and there is no where left to go
Oh wow... Stoney Chute 20 years ago makes you an original hippie. I love Stoney chute - me and the Mrs looked at a property there not long ago.... but distance to the coast was a deal-breaker. I love the surf too much. Mullum good, but gone very yuppie now.... and exy. I live just inland from Cabba - so Mooball not too far from me - great pub! I'll show you a few secrets left up here yet to discover.
Haha that takes things to another level, from my POV I think here in Australia Real Estate is our national religion, we have TV programs like the Block, do other countries have TV programs like that?
LOL, they were happy free times, full of imagination, ingenuity and expectation. Our hearts were bursting. Free yes but original, nah, the originals got there before I was born Stoney Chute is etched deep within, one of the most beautiful life giving places I’ve ever been
Is the “Cannabis Embassy” still there For people unfamiliar with Nimbin, this is a tin shed humpy spray painted as such
yep the Embassy is still going, catering for tourists, backpackers and the curious. Nothing like a tin humpy, real professional outfit.
As I said, don't sell gold or silver. I've learnt it the hard way in the mid-2000s. The zigzag movements are meant to shake off the ones with weak hands.
You're from the North Pole?...........are you, by any chance, pleasantly plump with a long white beard?
