Hey guys, I hope everyone had a great xmas and new year. Welcoming 2024 ! I've been busy writing a book on Australian poured bars and after literally thousands of edits, it was completed late last year. As any independent author knows, without a publisher backing, it's very difficult to produce a book...but finally it's completed and at the printers being produced. It will be available in mid Feb (approx). The book will be limited so I will be taking some pre sales here if anyone is interested. For those who have ordered and paid already, thank you and I appreciate your support. Some information on the book.... Australian Poured Ingots offers a detailed insight into the fascinating world of collectable bullion that explores vintage gold and silver. With 1000+ images it offers easy identification of all known weights, types and varieties including estimated mintages, known examples and rarity scores. You will be able to look up your bar and have information available. Australian poured ingots allows both the beginner and experienced collector to understand the history and the value of their collection. The book was compiled with the goal to squeeze as much factual and unbiased information within the 216 pages with the hope to create a level playing field for everyone to enjoy this hobby. The book is hardcover with colour pages and produced at the highest quality with lowest cost possible to the buyer. Australian Poured Ingots offers a very solid knowledge foundation for the Australian vintage collecting community offering never before seen images and never before published information, making it an invaluable reference for any collector. I hope this book can bring knowledge and legitimacy to the hobby. If you would like to purchase a copy of Australian Poured Ingots please reach out and secure yours as books are limited. Please private message me if possible. Price AUD$89 plus express postage $15* (within Australia) Total $104 *Postage charges outside Australia will be charged at cost, please enquiry for cost to your country
Wow! This book looks great. It looks huge, how many pages? I can't wait to see what's inside. It's great that you and Paul (the 2 guides on Aussie hallmarks) have given up your own time to put together material that we can all use!!! Over the years I have notice a number of size, font and style variations that are not presented on Allengelhard, so with a 1000 photos I am curious to see what else you have uncovered! I am also looking forward to seeing some more information on the refiners and brands along with your sections on ABC and Geomin which are not covered by Allengelhard. Great work, count me in for 2-3 copies.
Pmed. Thanks for the support. Yes 216 pages, originally it was 300 odd but I squeezed it down to try reduce costs. Yes it has ABC and Geomin, plus the others. Cheers
Well done Kim, this book looks absolutely amazing and will be a wonderful resource for new and seasoned Vintage collectors. I can’t wait to receive a copy. Well done!
