There's really no value to the debate in comparing two cryptos when the lack of diversity was one of the key sticking points in the argument, with acknowledgements to member's differing opinion on the actual asset in question. So I thought I'd formalise it in a spreadsheet. I took the liberty of introducing BTC and a basket of currencies into the equation. Initially:
Maybe you should think twice about challenging others next time. Anyway, I’m not interested in your fragile ego. I’ll keep posting the updates because I believe that for most people, a diversified portfolio is a more intelligent strategy than putting all your eggs in one basket and that these spreadsheets are going to be the evidence that will show I’m either right or wrong.
Lol No one’s interested BB, that will get a chuckle though. I’ll start a new thread if you like. You could simply ignore me though.
At least you’ve posted something that isn’t ad hominem. I disagree with the reddit post regarding diversification. I’ve already posted about that elsewhere and won’t repeat myself here. The IOTA debate has exhausted itself as far as i’m concerned. Everything in favour or against IOTA has been said. Your knowledge of libertarianism is woefully inaccurate.
So now we're quoting Joe Random from reddit, because reddit users are far superior? The comments made from that person are ridiculously one eyed and sheltered so no offence but it doesn't surprise me to see you agree with them Lol honestly, this thread just needs to die now because it's become nothing but a pissing contest BB is an IOTA bull, and everyone else here isn't, so I don't see why updates need to continue to be provided here because clearly nobody truly cares BB you're probably best discussing IOTA elsewhere with people who share your sentiment because I can't imagine your continuous effort being put into this thread being worth your energy as it's obvious the audience here isn't interested
I think you don't quite understand how forums work. Hint, this is a crypto section, and this is an IOTA thread, ergo, IOTA gets discussed here in whatever form posters want. Telling people to stop talking about the subject of the thread is bad form. But telling people to stop talking about updates on the forum thread subject title is even poorer form, that's the whole point of this thread. If someone said that you about one of your pet topic threads you'd tell them to bugger off.
Give me a break. You've clearly misinterpreted what I meant. I didn't tell him to "stop talking about the subject" or "stop providing updates" it was actually a friendly suggestion because it's quite obvious that this thread has turned into a BB vs everyone else regarding the topic, so why keep putting up with that when you can put your efforts into discussing this elsewhere with like minded people This entire thread has turned into a pissing contest. BB continues to provide "updates" which only result in more back and forth bickering And when I said this I was suggesting that BB is probably better off talking about IOTA with other like minded people on other sites. Why continue to provide updates on this forum when clearly based on the conversation history of this thread it's of no real benefit. It's pretty obvious that the only reason people click on this thread is to challenge your viewpoint. People don't come here because they love IOTA. I just don't understand why you'd continue to pour your time and effort into this thread on this site when I'm sure there are other sites/people you could be discussing this with which would be much more beneficial to you
Bullshit. No one is shilling. Take some responsibility for your posts and stop blaming others. This is like a repeat of all the arguments you've had with Silver Sale. I'll keep posting my updates on "Bullion Baron's Pissing Contest" in another thread.
I should make this my sig, except any adolescent could write it: Now where's Silver Sale, he'd enjoy this thread.
Lol, shirking responsibility again B.B.? Anyway, you didn’t like the terms I defined. Don’t worry, I’ll post a link if you like to the new thread I’ll make. You can stalk me there too.
The thread is what you make it. You have the ability to post what you want about IOTA and move the discussion in that direction. BB can do the same.
are you following the latest iota debacle? the whole network offline for days because they ran out of disk space?
Sounds like IOTA is still recording the entire tangle on a single node due to vulnerabilities. So it seems IOTA is still functioning like every other blockchain in order to verify transactions. Disappointing to see the devs still have no confidence in their system.
A lot of "it should work" in his speech, it doesn't convey confidence. He also concluded ultimately IOTA would be more centralised and you will need to pay fees, as it's not practical to run it on devices that have low processing power or has limited battery supply. Thus removing any benefit of the "Tangle" Also nodes will ultimately build up very large history transactions making them have the same issues as every other blockchain. IOTA is a great concept until you understand it The best quote near the end of the talk is "the white paper is actually like such a mess"
